Located just across the street from the village's Old Stone Mill, this rental is a wonderful place to stay during a trip to Skaneateles, NY. If you want a place to stay that gives you that condo feel but provides you with multitudes of space, this 3600 square foot house is the perfect option. In addition to all of its space and amenities, the home also puts you right across the street from all of the shopping and dining options that Downtown Skaneateles has to offer. Best of all, you can also spend as much time as you want fishing, swimming or simply sitting by the water thanks to the fact that the lake is only half a block away!
About the House
Built in 2010, not only does this cape style home put you very close to the water, but it also provides partial lake views from the front porch and main and second level master bedrooms. The interior features comfortable and refined furnishings. There are also kitchens, dining areas and living rooms on the main and lower levels. Throughout the home's three levels are four and a half bathrooms, each of which features a shower with marble tile. The lower level can also function as a separate home when friends and families need there own private space.
Thanks to the house's six bedrooms, everyone on your trip will sleep well at night. While we provide off street parking, more often, you'll find that your vehicles will remain in the driveway as the entire village and all of the shopping and dining experiences are right out your front door!
Amenities Highlights of this newly built home include 3600 square feet of space, 2 kitchens, 4.5 bathrooms and 6 bedroom areas. Located in the middle of Skaneateles, which provides access to great dining and shopping, as well as only half a block from the lake. We rented this house for the week of my daughter's graduation from Syracuse University. We visited Skaneateles over parents weekend last year and fell in love with the town. The house was perfectly located and beautiful. We were comfortable and extremely happy staying at this house. We will be back again for sure...everything was awesome! I would highly recommend it to other parents traveling in for Syracuse graduation. It was an easy drive, beautiful location, great restaurants, amazing setting and a perfect vacation house. Walk to everything in downtown Skaneateles. And the owner is extremely helpful, attentive and accomodating! What more could you ask for?

My friends and I rented this house for our friends’ wedding and we loved the place! The house was clean, quiet, and perfectly located. Everything that was promised on the description was there. It looked even better than on the photographs - that's definitely not standard. We really just felt comfortable from the first day on. We had everything we needed in the house - like towels, kitchen supplies, etc. All our questions and concerns were addressed promptly! We would definitely come back to this house on a future vacation. And I would most certainly recommend this property to every single one of my friends - should they ever go near that area!

I can not state how beautiful a home and what a fantastic experience my family and I had at 6 Fennell Street in Skaneateles, NY. The outside appears as all other homes in the area with the same care and character you would find in a resort village. This is a manicured property inside and out that is very comfortable to sit and relax on the front porch with your favorite drink as it is inside to have dinner and a movie. Once you have entered this home, with its 5 large bedrooms and gorgeous living rooms and kitchens, you may find it difficult to leave to enjoy the beautiful walk to downtown Skaneateles.
The interior decor of color and framed pictures on walls throughout are a complement to the owner with his attention towards comfort and high quality of the materials such as the hardwood and tile floors throughout this home. The modern bathrooms are large like you find in a suite at the Fountainblue in Miami, Florida and the beds are the best I have ever experienced. Providing that we could ever find this home available again, I would highly reccommend and stay here whenever visiting Skaneateles or any of the areas nearby such as the wineries! Kudo's to Mr. Rick, the owner, for calling me while we were staying their to see how our stay was going. Excellent!

This home is a true find. If you are planning any summer 2013 events I would strongly suggest securing as early as you can.We used it for out of town guests for my daughter's wedding. While we only had 8 people there, it easily accommodates 12 adults.We also only used it for 4 of the 7 day rental. This too was a value and the large , well appointed interior space was appreciated by all. The ability to walk everywhere, including the beachfront was terrific.
I can't say enough about the owners and their staff.They wanted to accommodate any request I had.There are buses and taxis available as well for those who don't want a car but want to see neighboring towns too.Again, I rented a year ahead of time and I am so glad I did!

We initially found the house on VRBO and minutes after submitting an email, Rick called us to answer any questions that we had. From the beginning he was informative and very personable as was his entire staff. The manual provided for the house helps answer most of the common questions and Rick was readily available when we had additional questions. The house was absolutely beautiful and we can honestly say that the pictures do not do it justice.
We had a group of 8 and there was more than enough room for everyone. The lower-level is essentially it's own apartment with access through the back door so it was great for those of us who had to work occasionally during the week as we could sneak downstairs for some privacy.
Additionally, the location downtown is perfect to walk to the lake or to the shops and restaurants. Nothing in Skaneateles was more than a few minutes walk away which was great. We already told Rick that we enjoyed ourselves so much that we're planning another trip back to the house next year. We highly recommend this property!

Every detail of this home was outstanding. It was beautifully built and decorated. There was plenty of room for family and friends. We were all so comfortable and had everything we needed. The owners and rental agency were delightful and so accommodating. The house was neat and clean, and the kitchen was very functional. The House instructions notebook was very helpful. We enjoyed gathering in the kitchen and living room. Our family ranged in ages from 18 months to 71 years. We were in Skaneateles for our niece's rehearsal dinner, wedding, and brunch. Staying together insured a quality visit (opposed to renting five rooms at a hotel). The lower level bedrooms were a quiet retreat. Thanks Rick and Deb - you're definitely in the right business! The house is beautifully decorated.

The home is as gorgeous as the pictures. Anything you could want in a rental, it has. Location couldn't be better, you could walk anywhere in the town. The owners were very nice & made sure you had everything you needed for a relaxing stay.
If I visit Skaneateles again, I would absolutely stay in this home and I highly recommend it to anyone planning a visit here. There is nothing negative to say about this home & it's location. It's just simply beautiful & comfortable! We do a girls weekend every year to different towns & rent homes and by far this one is one of my favorites.

What a lovely home! It was perfect place for a weekend with friends. We loved that we were only steps from town and enjoyed every moment we spent at the house.

Great property and location. Our immediate family included my wife, myself and 4 adult chidren, ages 28 to 21. Additionally we had two adult couples. Normally this could be a recipe for disaster in close quarters. However, there was never a concern about space. Every couple had their own room. Each evening we would meet for cocktails in the kitchen area. The environment provided the perfect getaway for a family reunion.
Everything was first class from the decorations to the furnishings. My family was very impressed with my discovery of this property. I believe I was asked at least 50 times over the weekend, "How did you find this place?" I even heard wives in the party ask their husbands "Why don't you bring me to places like this?"
Thanks again Rick for working with me to make this most memorable and delightful weekend happen. I look forward to returning next year. On behalf of my party and myself, a big 20 thumbs up!!!

If you could build your dream vacation home - this would be it! The Owners have anticipated every wish in their furnishing of this property. It is comfortable for a large family, and offers both spaciousness and privacy. The Moscarito's went out of their way to make us feel welcome and provide us with any detail we needed to make our dream vacation complete. Not your typical rental property!!
